Masala Dosa

Ingredients:

Dosa batter


For Filling:


Potato - 3 nos

Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)

Tomato - 1 no (finely chopped)

Green chilles (or) redchilly powder - 2nos (or) 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Ginger - 1 inch (chopped)

Peas - 1/2 cup

Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp


For Tempering:


Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Redchilly (dry) - 1no

orid dal - 1 tsp

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves


Method:

1) Pressure cook the potatoes and peas until fully cooked. Mash the potatoes and keep aside.

2) Heat oil in pan, add all the ingredients for tempering. After spluttering, add chopped onions, ginger and green chillies/redchilly powder and saute till it turns soft.

3) Now add tomatoes, tumeric powder, salt and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/3 cup of water and let it boil. When the water is fully evaporated, add the mashed potatoes and cooked peas in it and keep stirring for 3 minutes until well-blend.

4) Heat the tava, pour the dosa batter in the form of pancake. Dribble 1 tsp oil around the edges.

5) Cover with 1 tsp filling and fold the dosa over. Now shallow fry both sides till golden. Serve Hot.
