Paruppu with coconut

Ingredients:

Split Moong dal - 2 cups

Coconut - 1 cup (grated)

Small onion - 1 no

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Method:

1) Grind together coconut, cumin seeds, tumeric powder and small onion as fine paste.

2) Roast Moong dal in a pan until it turns light brown.

3) Pressure cook the roasted dal until fully cooked.

4) Now add little more water to the cooked dal. Let it boil. Now add the coconut mixture and salt. Keep stirring for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
