Poha Upma

Ingredients:

Poha - 1/2 kg

Chana dal - 1 tsp

Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp

Red chilly - 2 nos (dry)

Green chillies - 1 no (chopped)

Onion - 1 (chopped)

Bread slice - 1 (toasted and cut into pieces)

Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Salt to taste

Method:

1) Soak the poha in water for just 3 minutes, drain and keep aside.

2) Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, chana dal, red chilly. After spluttering, add onions and green chilles, saute for 2 minutes till it becomes soft.

3) Now add bread pieces, tumeric powder, salt, saute for another 2 minutes.

4) Now finally add the poha, saute for 5 more minutes. Serve Hot.

i tried a few times using potato to it,adding bread sounds new and intersting.Will try using bread next time.
