Sweet Banana Chips

Ingredients:

Nendhrum Banana - 4-5 nos (Ripe)

Salt - 1 tsp

Coconut Oil - 2 cups


Method:

1) Thin slice cut the banana in a plate.

2) In a small cup add little amount of water and salt, Mix well.

3) Sprinkle the salt water on the sliced banana's. Heat oil in a pan, add these slices and deep fry till it becomes brown.

4) Take it out in a oil paper. Cool for sometime (it becomes crunchy after sometime). Serve hot.

Chesse Pasta With Vegetables



Ingredients:

Pasta - 1 cup

Salt to taste

Beans - 1/2 cup (chopped)

Carrot - 1/2 cup (chopped)

Peas - 1/2 cup

Cheese - 1/2 cup (grated)

Olive oil - 3 tsp

Pepper powder - 1 tsp

Bell pepper - 1 (chopped)


Method:

1) Boil water in a pan, add salt, add the pasta and cook till it appears soft and well cooked. Drain the water and keep aside.

2) In a pan, heat olive oil, add the vegetables, sprinkle some water, a pinch of salt and close the lid.

3) Saute at regular intervals, till the vegetables are fully cooked, now add the paste, sprinkle some pepper powder and saute for 2-3 minutes in low flame.

4) Transfer it in a serving bowl, sprinkle some grated cheese and serve hot.

Sweet Pongal



Ingredients:

Cooked Rice - 3 cups

Jaggery - 1 (or) 2 cups (grated)

Coconut - 1 cup (grated)

Cardamom powder - 1 pinch

Salt - 1 pinch

Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup

Raisins - 1/2 cup

Ghee - 3 tsp


Method:

1) Heat 2 cups of water in a pan, add the cooked rice and jaggery together and let it boil for sometime.

2) When the content starts becoming thick (i.e when rice and jaggery mixes well), add coconut and stir.

3) Add cardamom powder, a pinch salt and stir well till the content becomes thick. Take it off.

4) In a small pan, heat ghee, add cashew and raisins, stir well till cashew becomes brown and raisins pops up. Add this to the pongal, stir well and serve hot.

Amla Soup




This soup is very good for health, especially for treating colds.






Ingredients:

Amla - 3 nos

Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)

Tomato - 1 no (chopped)

Salt to taste

Cumin seeds - 1 pinch


Method:

1) Take 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker, grate the amla, add ginger, tomato, salt and cumin seeds to it.

2) Pressure cook these for 4-5 whistles. After it cools, grind everything in a blender, drain and serve hot.
